a real, officially

are assigned an
official International Standard
Book Number, or ISBN, by the U.S. ISBN Agency, the barcode of which
will be included on the back cover of your student's book. This is what allows Amazon.com and our other distribution
partners to list and sell the book.
International readers will also be able to find and purchase your student's
book, and many
brick-and-mortar bookstores and libraries will be able to find and
purchase it too, via Word Venture's partnership with
Bowker's Books in Print.

Word Venture's partnership with Books In Print is what allows "real"
brick-and-mortar bookstores and libraries to easily find, purchase and shelve your
student's book, or to special-order copies of the book, just as
they would special-order a traditionally published but out-of-stock book for
